Come techofest ‘08….is the cry for the most of guys and girls of most of Tamil nadu…..when they announced their schedule of their annual cultural meet. Another highlight was it was the special day on February 14, it was for the couples. The bottom-line was nothing but the event of Shankar Mahadevan. Nothing more to give hype about the other events. Am not going to concentrate much on the prelude of the event because there’s always a lot to talk about his concert. We (Subra, me and girishh took a left turn to the Anna University only at the stroke of 7 pm. As the gates started to close we reached out there with excitement in the air. We sat straight looking at the stage. There he comes with his usual high pitched “Come onnnn CEG……………..” “A commercial saarang “is the first word uttered by one of my friend girishh that was ringing in my ears till the end as it proved to be. He started with a bang with my favorite song “breathless” one of his song till now. I missed a trick of not taking my camera with me. But even I tried to capture the video in bits with my ever reliable Moto Ming. Then he made a survey of wat to sing with the crowd. Great thing about his singing is his interaction with the crowd to make the concert livelier. So he started with some Tamil songs with alternate Tamil songs. It was the day in which you can see the whole engineering students to witness the joyous moments in their college life. Dancing on the chairs, on the vacant space! It was literally a DJ nite for all those who gathered there. His selection of songs were awesome .Some glitches were the organizing of the event was not that great because the show started only by 7 30 pm. We saw our class mate there which was a bit of surprise and it must be a great experience for one of my classmate Prem Santhosh who came with his girlfriend Sushma as it was valentine’s evening. Most of the songs were super hit songs. He also sang which was sung originally by other singers like dilse re. The singers accompanied him were also brilliant like Anushya, Aravind…. The ending was great which he sang his latest songs from Taare Zameen Par, Khajuraho etc.Overall it was the evening to cherish .enjoy the Breathless video.As the video quality is low, and I don’t want to put the other songs.
